Instrument cluster light problem!!!

I was going to change all my interior lights to blue like many other people. I read in the console lights all in one thread that they were 194 behind the instrument cluster so when i got to the back of it i tried to pull the bulbs with the red condums out of the little blue plastic piece that they were in. Then i learned that they were not 194, so now i have to wait for my T1.5 to come in the mail because thatys what they really are. But right now i have 2 broken bulbs and one still good one lighting my cluster and it doesnt light up at all. Then i switched the spot of the good bulb and till nothing. Anyone know the problem?????
Maby i need all the bulbs in to make it lights up? Everything else works fine so im pretty sure i didnt mess up the wires.

Thanks

The reason could be the cluster lights work in series, remove a bulb and you open the curcit. With out seeing the cutcit on the back of the cluster its hard to say if this is the cause.

i know with the T1.5 bulbs, the polarity (or the way you insert them in the holes), has to be correct, try takin them out, and inserting them back in the opposite way like 180 degree switch
