Rainy day modding
well, i decided to do a few visual upgrades a few days back, but it was raining all day. so i eventually said "screw it" and just installed the stuff in the rain.

everything came off easily with some fishing line and adhesive remover. then, some touch ups with the clay bar, paint cleaner, polish, wax and its all good.

I finally decided to cut out a hole so I could use the stock intake to feed air into my injen sri. it doesn't look too pretty(i should have taped it off), but i can notice a difference. before, the intake was hiding behind the battery and heat shield with no direct airflow, but now, it seems to breath easier. maybe some day i'll get around to painting the heatshield red or yellow

my first real visual upgrade. i just hated that metal thong so much. i picked up some black machine bolts, so it looked pretty clean. only complaint is that the tabs were cracked. just poor design really, as they weren't even at the right angle to attach the mesh and bolt to the hood. somebody dropped the ball i'd say

i believe its an RRM grill, but i bought it second hand so i'm not too sure. i dont like the idea of a cf hood, but i do like the grill. i think i might paint that yellow metal piece under the mesh black to enhance appearance.
Naw that doesnt look like an RRM grill for 2 reasons, the bolts are hidden on the rrm grill and that mesh doesnt come with the RRM grill. I think that's a cerious performance CF grill.
This is an RRM grill:

hmm, weird, it doesn't look like a cerious grill either(at least not the one on their site). now i'm kinda curious who did make this grill, as i think the guy who sold it to me told me it was an RRM

Didn't RRM change the mesh they were sending out with their grills sometime last year? I think I remember seeing that somewhere a while back. Also you can buy mesh pretty easily to replace. As far as the whole how it bolts up thing, yeah that doesn't look like a RRM grill b/c of that. Now I'm curious now as to who makes the grill.
