Hey was up peeps i need help from you. I am going to order the vis evo carbon fiber hood and i was wondering if you can take off the carbon grill or is it attach to it. Please let me know and if possible post pics.

 

First i'll help by telling you not to get the VIS hood... the fitment kindof sucks. There are other vendors out there making carbon fiber hoods that look and fit much better. Do a search on here and see. I don't think you'll be happy with the VIS though. Just looking out for you.

 

It's detachable. My roommate put an evo style cf grille on it.

 

i have the vis racing CF hood and the fitment, IMHO is very good - I think it fits just about as well as the stock hood. if stock hood is a 10/10 for fitment, my vis cf hood is a 9.5/10

the grille is detachable, but if you want to put a stock grille back on it (non-RRM evo style or whatver) you will probably need to drill out the holes just a tad.

 

so what hoods our out for are lancer. I like hoods with vents. I use to see that accolade had an Evo VII hood with grill but with the air duct on the right side (Driver Side) where the intake could get some air. Does anybody know if they still have that. I had asked dave@accolade if they still sale the GT HOOD but he told me that it still has fitment issues. So thats another hood i like. Please help guys. Thanks

So i guess no more help from any one else. Common DAVE@ACCOLADE let us know on some new hood or something. I want the GT Hood but with perfect condition
