nice dig up of an old thread, never saw this one before. I really like that naviagation system/radio surround. I wonder it would be possible to swap them into our cars or if they have a different set up climate controls (electronic) that would allow for that setup to work on the japanese version but not ours.

For anyone not understanding my above statement, there was a disscussion a long time ago about whether or not it was possible to easily move the climate controls to somewhere else to make way for a flush mounted screen. Since that are lever operated controls they can't be easily moved. So if the japanese model has the electronic operated unit, we cant switch in that dash.

 

for some strange reason i'm gonna venture a guess that the navi that comes standard in asia won't work in the states... just a guess tho ;]
