i guess they keep your interior dry if you so happen to have your windows open while its raining.. say you're smoking and need to have the window open while its raining, i guess you wouldnt have to worry about anything getting wet since the rain guards stick out about an inch or two from the window

i have them and ive ridden in another guys lancer without them and i really couldnt tell the difference.
