Hi, I'm new to this site so hey everybody. My Question is: IS there a reputable company such as wings west that makes a urethane body kit for an '02 Lancer?

the only urethane kit there is (i think) is the Kaminari kit. should be able to find it with a search of that name.

 

sorry to run off teh topic but you souldnt happen to be a previous corolla owner would you. i used to be and there was a guy named vamp on the corolla board that i was part of.

 

No man... I had a cavalier and was on the j-body.org as black 7. Thats it. Do you know if its a good kit?

Yes it is a good kit...I've heard nothing but good things about it. If I were to get a kit, in fact, that would be the one. I happen to know someone who's Lancer just partially burned (unfortunately) ...his kit is still in good shape and he's selling it. I'll try to contact him if you're interested to see if he still has it. Here's a couple of pics.....

yeah I'm totally interested. Do you know if its painted? I have a kit right now sitting in my garage... The guy I bought the car from gave it to me. He got it off ebay and it would be a lot of work to get lookin good. (Evo 7 kit). ITs fiberglass. The reason I want a urethane is I had a fiberglass kit on my cav and it cracked and got a all chipped up the first week. I hear urethane isn't like that. Is that even true?

urethane has a lot more play in it than fiberglass. it wont crack as easy, it bends more. if you are planning to get rid of that evo 7 kit let me know.

Man, go with Accolade. There PFRP, not fiberglass. Alot cheaper than the Kaminari kit and perfect fitment. I've had 2 urithane kits in the past 5 years on differant cars and not only is it heavy but it also tends to sag after about a year because of the weight. Plus if you do crack it or break it (which can be done) it is not repairable.

 

The group buy is for 680.00 shipped and I have never heard of any firment problems with their stuff.

Regardless both companies are quality. It just depends on the style you are looking for. Stay away from Import Trendz though.

 

Yes, thank you Danno... Import Trends = crap in my opinion and they also seem to copy all of accolades designs... (if u wanna get into it with me... hit me up on aim... Off the record)
