Problems finding strut bars...

I've been haveing a hard time finding a strut bar that will sit proplerly. I've bought three and none of them fit right. I'm not going to spend anymore money on bars that won't fit. So if someone can direct me to one that will, I would be most grateful.

The ones that PDXRalliart makes work great, I have the front and both rear bars on my car, no fitment issues whatsoever.

Hey man where in VA are you at? I ordered PDX's bars a few days ago and I should be getting them soon. If you live close by I'll show you them if you wanted to see the fitment. I'm hoping to get them in next week?

i too can vouch for pdx's bars, fitment it 100% perfect, even the K bar went on without any problems, where i've heard of people beating on their rrm k-bar with a mallet to get it on

I have RRM's front strut bar and next the rear RRM rear strut bar. Then PDX's lower tie bar (sorry but RRM charging the same for a LTB which is half the material as the strut bar doesn't make sense).

What brand strut bars have you bought? If they are no name or ebay specials, there might be fitment issues. From what I have heard and as stated above, PDX and RRM make the best strut bars.

how did you attempt install, was it level, elevated...ect...

I only ask because if the car isnt sitting perfectly level then 9 times out of 10 the bars wont go on right because one of the struts is flexing/carrying more weight than the other and is leaning.

Yeah I have one from Engineerboy. It is solid quality but not as pretty as PDX's or RRMs but it does the job and that's what I care about. And really nothing a few coats of high temp paint won't fix. That gives me something to do this weekend... Painting the front strut bar. Now for choosing the color...

Good idea painting my old front strut bar... bad idea allowing me anywhere near a spray paint can. The story: In the vain attempt at making my old front strut bar look shiny by using Black high gloss engine paint I screwed up my front strut bar. I was so disappointed with the results after an hour of letting it dry that I decided to strip it and start over. Don't ever do this if the paint isn't fully dry by the way. The sand paper just stuck to the bar and I got my shirt all painty.

So I'm going to order PDX's front strut bar as soon as he gets back to me with a price. Not that anything is wrong with old one, but I'm not going to hassle with stripping it and painting it. It will be kept in my storage room for decorative purpose or possibly as a future weapon to bludgeon home invaders from Mars or Uranus.

So now I almost have all of PDX’s bars, save for the RS bar… maybe I’ll collect them all and be the first kid on my street with the complete set. I hear that they all combine to form Voltron.
