tein coilover solution

ok so gentlmen im about to be purchasing a set of tein coils from roadrace. i may be getting the basics and the only reasons i would want the ss is if the dampening adjustiblility really makes a ride comfort difference.. i mean the basic is set on like 7 isnt it? and the ss is adjustible 1-16 correct... so if i make it all the way soft will it ride nice? and stiff ill feel a pebble in my ***? just checking. because thats what kensuke said.. alrght and ive found from u guys that all i need to make it work on my es is the

1) strut mount plate (front only)
2) strut bearings (front only)

roadrace said they sell the "extra parts" to make it work im hopin this includes the bearing cuz i heard from betrotter that it sounds like **** and it ****s up ur coils in a the long run... can anyone confirm the need for the bearing and its inclusion in the package roadrace sells...

they said it costs 99 bucks for the pakcage.

i would get the package from rrm. they know whats missing on the es, so its a very easy solution. as for the basics, its like an 8 on the 1-16 scale. and trust me, its plenty stiff. yes, you can feel a pebble, but its not like a vertebrae crushing shock. its a nice feedback feeling, you can feel the road and your turns better. hard to explain, you'd have to experience it for yourself

personally, unless your seriious into auto-x, then save some dough and pick up the basics. they serve most of us perfectly well, the only people that would really take advantage of adjustable dampning are the serious suspension guys that are into track racing.

It's so easy to adjust the dampening, that a three year old could be taught how in a matter of minutes. You can adjust it with your fingers, no tools required for the dampening adjustment.

don't think they make it for the lancer ss, just the evo ones.

if you are going with the SS, save yourself $130 and get it from here:

http://www.3n1motorsports.com/catalo...products_id=86

then just pick up the necessary stuff from rrm (bearing plates and whatever else you need). think of it like getting the extra stuff for free

funny, thats the same reason i DON'T buy from RRM

but good choice on the basics, your probably like me and wouldn't use the dampning adjustability that much anyway, so its just a waste of money. trust me man, your gonna love them, the car is so nice with a good suspension setup
