Tires for the Lancer

Does anyone have any 235/40/r17's on their car. I want to know for sure if they are going to work on my lancer before I get them.

Too wide I think. 215 is cutting it close.

215/40/17's are you best bet, i got them on my lancer and no rubbing. This is a common size for the lancer OR 205's

If you have a stock size 195/60/15, the best size in 17" would be 215/40/17, they both have almost exact same overall diameter size, 205/40/17 are smaller and might affect speedo and such. This is what I've been able to come up with after researching tire sizes.
