Winter Rubber time
Ok im sure there are other threads on this topic but im interested in whos running what rubber this winter. Ive got my stock OZ rims and im going to slap some snow tires on them. Whos running what and where did you get it.
staying with my bridgestone potenza re950, if they wear out then i plan to get some toyo proxes or BFG (the weather doesnt change drastically enough to use winter/snow tires in GA)

I would not go with snow tires.
FYI, just to identify my credentials before I go on, I have been working on tires for 7 years now, STRAIGHT. Im fairly well trained and also take my job seriously...so with my experience...
If you are not driving ON snow during the winter, rather in snow SOME of the time and on plowed pavement, go for a good all season tire.
Snow tires are very application specific and will be a waste of money as they wear quickly.
If you want good tires for the winter, Toyo Proxes 4, Pirell Assimetrico 4 Season or Michelin Pilot A/S
BUT, the car might not need ultra high performance rubber...if it doesn't, the two best ties I sell are BFGoodrich TRACTION T/A and Bridgestone Potenza G009's. For an everyday car....they are the most cost effective and the best bang for the buck, by far and away. If you want ultra high performance, then the first set of tires is a good start.

Good links. The Winterforce are the way to go because they are the cheapest. Unlike summer performance tires, cost does not mean better. Blizzaks are the suck. Any winter tire will perform better in the snow than an all season, so might as well get the cheapos.
