i hate to ask...

but, does anyone know if Coilovers from an Evo will fit a Lancer? don't just come here and say no. I would like a reason, IE: different perches...
i know i have asked about evo springs before, but this is a bit different as i see. anyway just looking to know if it will FIT.

You have been around here for how long and are asking this?

NE Ways:

No they wont. Because the Evo is AWD the entire rear end of the car is different. You cant think of your Lancer as being the same as an Evo they are 2 completly different cars. Its like comparing a 1989 Dodge Lancer To a 2006 Lancer and asking how well the engine mounts line up. Apples and Oranges my friend.

I did answer with out just saying "no", If you read the first line there is an explination on why. Sorry if I dont feel like opening up Auto Cad and making you a drawing of it.

I dont even think the front will bolt up but im not 100% on that.

If they did work companies like RRM who make both evo and lancer parts would be sharing part numbers and products between the 2 vehicles, it would save tons of costs.

OTOH. You Can get the ralliart stuff to work on a regular lancer. You can drop out the rear end of a ralliart and bolt it up to your reg lancer as well as change the axles, hubs and other front end components giving you the use of the better ralliart struts and also disc rear breaks with a full 5 bolt pattern, but thats way out side the boundries of your question.

Thats would be awsome to upgrade to ralliart axles, etc. just to get rear discs would be worth it. Wonder what that would cost to do!?!
