Seriously need help... brake problem

Yeah, I changed my front brakes like a month or two ago, and for a while I've been hearing grinding when I use the brakes. Ive tested it at enough speeds now to kinda tell when it happens.

I hear a grinding sound while braking at very slow speeds while in neutral, ESPECIALLY when I press the pedal lightly. I hear a slight squeak as well, and if i increase the pressure on the pedal, by the time the car stops I hear some bubbly sound like bloop bloop or something like that.

So if anyone happens to know what I need to do, please give me your comments and thanks!!

What kind of brakes did you put on them? OEM or aftermarket. Did the sounds come immediately after installing your brakes?

Did you use brake lube? That's what it's for...to reduce the noise.

Maybe, if it comes down to it will I have to bleed the brakes? And how do I do that?

its not air in the brakes. sounds like something caught. pull the brakes apart again ans check for rubbing or scratching anywhere.

Maybe you got those little clips that hold on the pad stuck in the wrong spot. I had my passenger side like that and my driver's side didnt have any at all, so I just got rid of them.

Yeah if it was air in the lines he would put the foot on the brakes and nothing much happens (air compreses hence the reason brake fluid is used, though i have heard of one case someone used dishwashing detergent as a subsitute...didn't last long )

You know what I think this might be right, I remember one of the clips getting detatched and I had to put it back on...

and is it really save for you to just take them off (the clips, that is) and leave it like that?

Im gonna take apart the brakes first thing in the morning, but just to make one thing clear, its definitely not my rear drums? Just guessing. and how long are -those- supposed to last?

these suggestions really help out.

I'm not exactly sure about the whole safety thing, but when I bought my car they didn't even have them on one side. Neither side has them now, and I do some heavy breaking on the weekends.. And I'm fine.

did you service the drums? if you did you may have just adjusted them wrong and they could need re-adjustment. have a friend ride around with you for a bit with their head out the window. don't tell them where you think the noise is coming from so you can get an opinion from someone who isn't focusing on the area where you think the noise is coming from.

definitely check to make sure you have the shims on there, too. you definitely need those in there.
