Teins
Teins
Are all the tein suspension kits coilovers? Do these kits need any extra mods? I called a local performance shop thinking that a suspension upgrade would be no problem but they told me that they don't install coilovers due to the different modifications that come with a coilover install.
not that i know of.. i have the TEIN coilovers.. i installed them myself.. took about three hours... just try to get yourself a car lift, a spring compressor, and a good impact wrench.. very simple install.. the TEINs come with everything you need and step by step instructions.. and they are VERY worth it.. def the best investment i've made toward the car yet! any questions just holla.
EDIT: I am talking about the TEIN SuperStreet damper kit. Which you can buy from RRM .
I know that TEIN also makes lowering springs.. although im sure they are good.. its better off to just get the complete coilover

ok now listen.. i am also getting tein suspension... but you guys are just getting the coilovers themselves... you do know the best thing about tein is the shocks not the coils right....you have to put the two together or no real point in wasting that much money just for the coils... get tein SUSPENSION.... u get an electronically controlled device about the size of a turbo timer where u can actually control the stiffness of your car just by turning some knobs... tein suspension is going to costs you at least 1500$ MIN depending on your hookups etc. etc. i get mine for a lil cheaper
thats what im talking about.. the full coilover.. not just the spring.. mine cost 1290 from RRM.. it is the full adjustable coilover.. springs and struts.. 16 levels of adjustment.. and the device you are talking about is called the TEIN EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) it is awesome.. BUT.. you cant use them in the lancer.. at least not on the front struts.. if you install them you wont be able to close your hood.
but i dont find a need for it anyway.. because i only adjust mine like once a month or less then that.. i pretty much keep them at setting 12.
I am talking about the same setup. RRM is now selling the Super Street Damper kit for $1190. I bought them a few days ago and just recieved them yesterday. But just to reiterate I meant the whole setup not just the springs. <----- You might as well do it right.
That sucks the EDFC can't be used.
