Installation Complete

I bought the X-bar and Rear Strut bar from RRM. I have both installed. The rear bar is fine. The front bar, though, is rubbing on my intake pipe and makes noise when I start the car or its idling. Anybody else have this problem?

Pictures might help. I don't have the rrm x-bar, but I have a bar from RDD and the typhoon installed. They are close but do not touch. Maybe try to reposition the intake tube.

i had that same problem with my injen intake. at first i had my intake almost flushed with the manifold, which caused the rubbing. i widened the space between the manifold and the intake itself and lowered the intake (making a gap between the x-bar and the intake) by doing so there is sufficient amount of the rubber piece (from the rubber hose thing) that the intake will lower. also check the angle of your intake you might have to twist it downward. hope this helps

Maybe toss a washer under each connecting point of the X-bar? It'll give you another couple mm of room... (just a thought).

Well, I went to the local Walmart and picked up some double-sided sticky pad that you would use on wall hangings. I just stuck it to the x-bar and left the other side covered that lies against the intake pipe. So far, So good. Lets see how long it lasts.

Total cost for fix: $1.38
Total time: 2min
