Wheel question.

Hwy guys I have an 03 OZ, and i want to put some wheels on it. The problem is i dont know what size of tire i should get. I want to put on 17's but i dont want the ride to be completely rediculous. So can you guys help me out by telling me what size tires I should get to have a ride close to as good as my ride is now.

17x7's with 215/40/17 rides good, has enough rubber to not do too much damage to the rim. Keeps spedo' the same too and is very very close to the orginal height of the stock wheels and tires.

205 is what i'm gonna go cause i'm plannin on goin w/ 18s... i wouldn't recommend this tho unless you know the mess you might be getting into.
i told everyone in my last post that after i have the cast, i'd see if 18s are possible and let everyone know exactly what i did.

as for 17s, they work fine. i've seen people go 205 and 215 and everything from 205/35 to 215/45... so whatever you want. just make sure that you fill up that fender well!

just my input.
cheers, tyrone

I have an 03 ES and it has 17's with 215/40's, but I have a problem with the offset. I can't drop the car until I have the correct offset wheel. You may want to watch out for such problems.....if not you'll be like me with 1000 in wheels, and still have to replace them.
