Help with rims

Hi guys, i really need help with rims and tires. I know the stock tires for lancer gts 2010, its 215 45 18, but what does this mean? ive been reading 4 forums and i still cant get the drill of tires and rims. Anyways im trying to save up for a set of enkei rims, they are 18 7.5 and apparently they fit out stock tires. So the question is, what is off set, and what does this 7.5 mean? What would be the best spec of rims that i can get without fender rolling or buying new tires. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Usually, that 7.5 would be the width of the tire/rim, 18 the size and 215 im never quite sure about that, but it refers to tire dimension. The offset is important to respect, having less than required would make your tire rub against the wing, and too larger will make the tire excess the wings. If you wanna know if those rims fit on your car, there are a lot of rims website that can perform searches for specific car model, so just look for one that sells your rim model and if they fit on your car. Try searching on google directly for your rim model, worked for me. Think i'm gonna get the Drag DR-9 gloss black!

stick with 18x7.5-8
offset make sure its at least +40 or higher (+40 to + 48)
tire you can run 225 45 18 safely without roll as long as the rims offset is what i recommended.

225 or 215 is the width... (how much rubber is on the road) / 45 is your profile (45% of the width of your tire) 18 of course is your wheel size. There are calculators online if you google them that will tell you the ideal rim width for your tire size. lancer0220 is right.. stick with the 18x 7.5 or 8 don't go any wider..
