Suspension help!!

Hey guys. Today i attempted to remove the front strut assembly using the how to on this site. I got to the point where I have to remove the 14mm nut that holds the swaybar endlink, this would not budge even with a lot of WD40. then it began to move however the nut appears rusted on and i just spins. nothing seems to loosen up. please help and did i cuase any damage to the endlink? will it now need replacing? I took it for a short drive when everything was replaced i could not see any problems.

Hold the center bolt with an allen key, turn nut with box wrench if it's like the evo.
