Ride Height Question!!!

I had a quick question on how much lower the car will go with a lower profile tire. I have a 06 lancer es with a 4x114.3 bolt pattern and is currently dropped 2" all around on tein's. My current tires are 215/45/xl17 and rims are 7" wide. I wanted to know if I put on 205/40/17 tires on, about how much lower will that set my car in reference to inches and will that create alot of wheel gap and look weird??

Thanks man, the pics gave me a good idea of what the wheel well spacing would be and the ground clearance.Man, I wish the junkyards around LA had lancer parts for pickings, took me forever to find some sideskirts. I gotta ask you but does car clear speed bumps pretty easy, or does it hit?

215/45-17 sidewall height is ~3.80"
205/40-17 sidewall height is ~3.22"

The difference of the two will be an estimate.

I've personally gone from 205/40-17, to 215/40-17, and currently on 215/45-17.
The 205/40 looks too small unless you're slammed with a lower offset so the wheels dont look sucked in

Im dropped on Tein S-techs and 215/45 fills it nicely

some speed bumps are low that i can just voast over them at low speed but the ones that r higher i have to like stop and gently drive over

a 215/45r17 has a 24.7" diameter and is 8.4" wide. a 205/40r17 has a 23.5" diameter and is 8.3" wide. so you be fine with a nice drop on it
