Angry stupid squeaking!!

ok here's the problem.. everytime i go over a damn bump, the rear of the car squeaks like a mother. im not dropped nor do i have anything heavy in the trunk. so i go out the car and i put my hand on the trunk and push up and down rather violently to hear it and its pretty damn loud. i hear it in my damn cabin and i roll down my windows to hear it and man oh man is it embarrassing. now what can i do to fix this by any chance? will lubing the springs/struts work or is it simply because of cold weather? or is it a good excuse for me to get new springs/coilovers? get back at me

I have this same damn problem, it annoys the heck out of me too. But the only heavy thing i have back there is a big *** speaker box. i wouldnt think it was the cold weather cuz mine did it in the summer. I want to know how to stop it too.

well it got a little warmer here in jersey and somehow, the squeaking went away. so i guess it was the cold weather. but the thing that bothers me is that it didnt happen last winter and it was alot colder last year. but somehow, all of a sudden, it came and went this winter.. so i dunno

Geniuses, sheesh, the prob is caused by broken sway bar perches. The stock ones are known for snapping. It should be replaced by the dealer, at least thats what heppened with me. I had em replaced over a year ago and it's starting to squeak again. It starts off just once in awhile, then gets consistent. I need to invest in the autocross perches, but i wanna wait until I get springs and a new sway bar and strut bar.

actually, its ur stabilizer bar bushings. Apparently alot of Lancers up here had to have them replaced. I jus got mine replaced recently. It took forever to get the part. It sounded really bad when it was super cold but kinda went away when it got warmer. Now its not there n e more.

actually u are partially correct, thats also the prob, they told me the perches and the bushings were the prob. And mine started to squeak when it was warm out, so u may have just had the bushings prob. I had both. It was HORRIBLE! And yes it took FOREVER To get the part (because they had so many lancers that ended up with that prob they got back ordered)

well first off its not your perches, lol, how can perches squeek? i snapped my stock perches with the upgradded sway bar, and you KNOW you broke them cause they went CLUNK

second, its your brushings, the little brass kinda color poles going vertical sort of next to the perches, soak em in wd40, thats what i do, and the noise goes away

if somethign was broken, it wouldnt go away, you can pick up brushings in like pep boys

its the bushings. its the only rubber/metal contact and it creates a rubbing squeek evertime there's movemnt. i've got it bad and it annoys the hell out of me. i gotta get new bushings! i've tried lube and that wears off in about a week. suuucckkkss.
