Spring Noises

i just got the eibach pro-kit on my car. i've never had lowering springs lowering springs on any car i've owned and non of my friends have either, hence i've never heard what the springs are supposed to sound like. i was wondering if like a "sqeak" or "pinch" sound is typical when going over bumps in the roador did the person who installed it mess up???

Its normal. Thats just the springs settling in. I drive an OZ and I have Teins on them, and they tend to make "stretching" and "popping" noises in the beginning. But they went away. But if i were you, if it still makes noises in a month timeframe or if it gets worse, take it back and get it fixed!!

The spring noise could be from the springs not sitting correctly in their perch. You might want to lift your car and take a look to see if that's the case. If it is the case just rotate the spring 'till it sits correctly.

I got the Eibach springs, i had the same noise, mine got worse and so did the drive, every little lump..became a hard hit... I found out the stock struts could not handle the drop, I tried to fidn new struts, but non where available, KYB will have some by october. but i could not wait..the drive was so noisy and hard..i ended up buying TEIN, good luck... Hope u dont have this problem, or at least check ur struts and get them changed

Hi, may I ask where did you get the RMR/Ralliart Shocks?
Being from Cape Cod, did you get them from a dealer in Massachusetts?

Thanks

I called Eibach about the noise when I did my springs. First, the top and bottom caps have holes in them. The holes must me lined up for the spring to seat right. Second, the told me to leave about 1/4" from the bottom spring end to the actual spring "stop" on the inside of the bottom cap. This may help some. It has fixed my problem. The only noise I hear is on really bad holes or bumps.

hey ROCK....i've had the Progress springs installed for almost 2 weeks now....and its been makin some pretty bad noises, but the only thing is, the noises are ONLY coming from the front left spring. The noises sound like its rubbing hard or something, it sounds like ****. I've been hopin for it to start goin away, yet its sorta gettin a lil louder and happening a little more? What's goin on?

oh also, now that i remember, im kind of sketchy on the whole drop that it gave me?? I look at some of these guys rides that have the Eibach springs, and their **** is lower than mine? In the back, i can barely fit 2 fingers in, and in the front, i can easily fit 2 fingers...now overall, i probably got a 1.0" drop. Wheres the other .5" at?
