Axxis Brake Pads

Well after all that drama, Cobalt Friction helped me out. Check them out at www.CobaltFriction.com . And today, I received the brake pads. They aren't the PosiQuiets like what other people said..I received a set of Axxis Ultimate pads. We'll find out monday if they really fit or not. But in the meantime, here's some pictures for you guys to chew on.

i paid 68.90 total (that's including shipping). tell them about your car club and u get a 5% discount.

but bad news guys..only 3 out of the 4 pads included in the box fit. why? Axxis put one different pad in there for me (best of luck huh?). The weird thing is that the number printed on the pads are all the same, so it's clearly bad quality control..I will call Cobalt and see how they can fix this problem.

I took off my old pads and boy are my right one's low..im pretty scared to drive now lol. if i dont get this problem fixed soon, i might have to go OEM for the meantime then switch to the Axxis pads..

im having the best of luck with brakes so far..gay

engineerboy: i absolutely LOVE these tires, u will be surprised how much it changes things..fun times ahead

Bob's a true racer- what does he need brakes for anyway He only knows about the pedal for his right foot and the pedal he has to press to make the gears shift- that one in the middle is a complete mystery.
Seriously though- were you trying to use the shims that they came with? I tried but when it was clear the whole thing wuldn't fit, I said eff it and haven't had any problems. . . . or is one pad like HUGE compared to the others?

That's a really good price- and it would be really cool if we did get a price break for being part of a club (I'm sure I could get several sets sold at once).

well im a true racer, but a true racer needs some discipline too braking = discipline as I see it..

and the price is really good, the pads itself was 65.xx

im not sure what u're talking about when u say shims..but all i know is that one pad is completely different. the mounting points are in a different spot and the brake surface is all flat instead of having a little bit of chamfer..or whatever u call it. pics will be up sometime

well what if there's like 1-2mm left on the pads..im sure it'll be ok but..yea ill just wait and not brake hard.

btw, what does it mean when the left pads have a considerable amount left than the right pads?
