Transmission with turbo???

Question Transmission with turbo???

HI
I have a question. The transmission de lancer oz 2003 can support a stage 2 of road race motorsports?

yyeah up to around a certain hp, the lancer tranni is pretty strong

It's strong enough. None of the lancer guys have put +400 at the wheel, besides Mirages w/ the same tranny have touched that mark (not in the US).

Thanks for the information.. i have scare for the transmission because a men in my region say that the transmisson not can support 230 whp..

if you have a stock junky mitsu clutch i think you'd burn that up pretty fast but other than the clutch our tranni is strong

im at 260+ WHP and will re tune to see if i can
get 300+ WHP i will let you know!!!

Yes, clutch will blow up first befor eth tranny. Our tranny isn't like DSM; then again, I don't know how much of it is driver error amongst DSM'ers.

i believe we use the same trans as the mirage and
it is able to support up to 400whp??

Yes. That's how Mitsu save money.

Mirages in PR have pushed close or beyond 400 whp. No one in the US can do so w/o swapping their engine as a short cut of sort.

yes RRM did the R&D now it is at 280WHP factory axles
and I am soon to find out if it is capable of handling
300+ WHP in a few weeks so far so good our lancers
have potential do not underestimate it!!

i jus got the rrm stage 2 clutch which is from act, one of the best in my opinion, and the fidanza lightweight flywheel, total cost was 1300 for parts and labor. if your going turbo i recommened at least the clutch and a new t.o.b.
