Ok since I had problems finding info on this I'll post what I found out. Ok firstly, BG synchroshift is perfectly safe for the lancer transmission. Secondly, the stuff is great. I've had it in my tranny for about 450km and it's already very smooth, you can put the car into any gear with a simple flick of the wrist. For anyone looking to replace their fluid I would highly recommend BG synchroshift. I got mine from lancershop.com and I would definitely suggest them as a possible source.
