Question Flywheel Bolts???????

Hi everyone right now N1TE and I are swapping engines in his car do to a hole in his block. Well we are pulling the engine right now and have ran into a problem we are trying to remove the flywheel from the engine and the bolts that hold it on look like a simple 14mm 12pt bolt but when I use a the corresponding socket it is not working. Does anyone know exactly what typ of bolt this is from EXPERIANCE or am I right and they have been stipped by a previous mechanic? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks
