Question Need some tranny info for check up

Ok i went to the mitsu dealer to ask what the A/T flush consist of and things like that. Then i asked if I could buy some Royal Purple Tranny Oil so they can put in cause ive heard they are the best and he said no cause they can only use their oil anything else will burn the tranny up. So then i asked if they replace the Tranny filter and they said no cause its all the way in the tran and they would have to take apart the transmisson to get to it. just wanted to know if this is correct. O on a side note i asked the parts guy how much the service manual is and he said $200 is that about right??

i have royal purple fluids in my tranny and i've got no problems other then the fact that when it's cold, the fluid takes a lil while to warm up and circulate...when it's cold outside, i start the car for a few mins and let it run before going, i have a manuel so when i jump right in and go, sometimes i can't get teh car into gear, but once it's all warmed up, she's ready to go.

I know nothing about ATs.

But yeah, $200 is right for a service manual. But your local library probably has access to a site called AllData, which has almost all that info for free.
