Problem please help?
I have a grinding noise when going into third gear (manual) It doesn't sound like it is the gears grinding. My clutch is all the way to the floor. Does anyone know what this could be?

some people have had this problem too, i think it happens when u try and shift very quickly sometimes? i think thats what people said, anyway. try shifting slower, allowing a second or two in between second and third.. see if the grinding still occurs..
i think the problem most ppl have is the 1st to 2nd shift. i haven't heard anything about going into 3rd being a problem. definately if you have been shifting hard you may have messed up the tranny. go to the dealer n see what they say.
Hopefully you are still under warranty have it checked out by the dealer. It could possibly be a problem with the synchros in the transmission. It also may be as simple as a clutch adjustment.
If you are out of warranty try changing your transmission fluid to redline synthetic trannsmission fluids. That stuff does wonders for grinds.
