I currently drive a '91 BMW 318is manual transmission. The clutch is much more .... difficult? to push down than on the Lancer. What is the reason for this? Also, the throw of the shifter in the Bimmer is much tighter than the Lancer? Is there a way to tighten up the shifter throw and the firmness in the clutch?

 

From what I've seen this week, bushing should tighten the shifter a bit.
