Oh god, you bought the parts before finding out what could go wrong? To me this shows a serious lack of research which probably means you don't have everything you need. Some things off the top of my head, problems removing/installing the old/new transmission, problems installing the pedals, problems with the ECU, etc., pretty much anything that you're taking off could cause a problem.

Yes plz give us your parts list so we can tell you what's up! Others who have done the swap feel free to post your concerns you had during your install...

i've done a tranny swap on a celica and an mk3 supra, and from experience you may or may not have to drill holes for mounting the clutch pedal. be prepared for that if you end up having to. fwd tranny swaps are a p.i.t.a in my opinion and are not worth doing. the supra was much easier since it was rwd. but yea, give us your parts list and im sure people can help you out better.

Then don't post in a public forum, easy. Don't get angry cause people feel you haven't done your research (which you clearly have not), it's just the way it is.

He has a valid argument! He was just simpling asking if anything out of the ordinary he might experience during his transition. Maybe something only a actually conversion-owner would know... I'm said my peace.

I told what kind of things could go wrong in my first post. Realistically anything could go wrong, it's possible to blow your motor installing an intake mani like I did. IIRC correctly one guy has done it, I'll see if I can find the thread and what things he encountered. I know it took a lot longer than he thought.

Here ya go, it looks like this guy did it (I only skimmed the thread) and ran into weird problems (namely with the gauge cluster). https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...nsmission+swap

SLVROZ_03 - He's also 8 posts above you... He hasn't done it on a Lancer, if you read his post (which I quoted for you).

blacksheep is right, i haven't done a tranny swap on a lancer...and i dont plan to any time soon or at all haha. but from past experiences, i can tell u some issues u may have during the swap such as...making clutch lines, lining up the bell housing, converting pedals, shift linkages or cables blah blah, it goes on. and like what amby said, anything can happen. and where's this parts list?
