ok i got a 2002 oz rally it has 108.xxx miles on it and about 4000 miles ago i start to hear a knocking sound or like somthing is lose inside of the tranny what could this be

and when i rev the motor up the knocking goes with the rpms

 

Could possibly be the throwout bearing. Or you could be f@*#d like me and it could be the tranny. I was told the throwout 1st and bought a new one, replaced it and hey what do you know I needed a new tranny not throwout! Atleast I upgraded the clutch kit so it's not a total loss. Just make sure whoever checks it out knows what they are talking bout. I've got 116k on mine so its bout that time anyways

 

well i just had all that done not even 10000 miles ago everything new but not the flywheel this sucks

 

i just hope its the TOB i really dont want to get a new tranny but if i have to o well anyone else got anything ?????

 

If I remember correctly, there is a pilot bearing in the transmission that can go bad.

 

I just replaced the trans in mine this past summer. Mine was making a knocking know noise too. Then one day I just lot neutral. After removing the trans and and played with it for a week or so I bought a trans from a junk yard for $250 and had the car running good as new in a day.

alright theres a new problem i feel the shaking in the clutch pedal

 

I did some searching around and it sounds like it may be the TOB. If that is it, @least its cheaper than a whole new tranny. Plus, its a chance to go ahead and upgrade
