They should. When I did the bushings on my 2002 Lancer, it really make the shifter feel more crisp and sharp. Took out the mushiness.

Hi guys,

Thank you for the interest you show in our new product and thanks for all the pre-orders!

The TWM short shifter offers a greater shift knob height reduction, 5% greater shift throw reduction and our short shifter also positions the shifter in a more central overall position.

Thanks,

excellent. I pre-ordered this short shifter with the bushings. It's good to know that most if not all of the sponginess will be gone after install.

Once I get paid this Friday I'll put in my pre-order for this shifter, with the bushings.

Not sure about a shifting knob though...they seem a bit too heavy for my taste.

About time!! I have been waiting for this....

I had a TWM shifter in my last car and it owned all.

Hands down, TWN short shifters are atop the leader board.

I will be ordering one this week.

Only reason I am mad that I have a CVT is that I can't get a TWM shifter. I have had them in all my cars! They are second to none.

They are easy to adjust if needed! Sorry Frank, but the TWM shifter needed to be a little shorter in my tC so I threded it down and chopped the top! It was easily the shortes shifter in the world. Knob sat just above the shift box. It was great!

Also, Get the bombshell shift knob!!!! It is the most ergonomical knob on the planet!!!! It is perfect no matter how you hold it!

Ahhhh, I wish I had a manual!!!!!!!!!!

I would be shocked, but I notice many manufacturers neglecting this question.

Same thing for 2009 series?

Well, here is a better answer.

Go to TWM's website and see if you can find a performance car they don't make a kit for! As long as the shifter set up stays the same, the kit will fit bt if it don't, you can take it to the bank that they will make a kit for it!!!!

Willing to bet the 2008 stuff fits. You have the exact same car, just a year newer...

TWM stuff is awesome guys. I had their short-shifter kit on my SRT, with the first knob from the left and it felt freaking amazing.

I was thinking of Works Short Throw but you guys have me bought. Although, I won't be buying until this summer when I'm out of school and have the free time to buy and install. Thanks.

Thanks for your order. We're on schedule to make the May 15th ship date, so they should go out in time as promised

I'm sure you will be very pleased with the short shifter combined with the base bushings.

We do have aluminum shift knobs now as well, they are basically the same design as our classic series, but lighter. Here's the links:

Aluminum Classic
Aluminum Type R

Thanks,

Thanks I've been driving with a weighted shift knob for about 8 years now and I'll never go back to stock, they feel awesome.

Thanks for all the pre-orders guys!
