RPW "short shifter"

Has anyone out there installed the "short shifter" that RPW advertises? If so, is it really better than B&M?

I have never seen the RPW one, but I can tell you that the one thing I didn't like on the B&M one is that it seems to hold the stick away from the driver instead of closer. The short throw is perfect. But now that the Evo has come out, we have other choices. The Perrin shifter from vivid racing will fit too. It would be nice to get pics of them side by side and see how different they really are. I didn't want to spend the extra $40 for the Perrin. Got a link to the RPW one???

The RPW shifter will reduce your shift up and down AND side to side- which is something that the B&M doesn't do, and I've talked to peeps who don't like that "feature". visionimports.com $195 +ship. It's not just a replacement arm, though. It's a whole mechanism (view at http://www.rpw.com.au )

Where can I look at the perrin shifter?

Perrin shifter is at www.vividracing.com it's listed as an Evo shifter, and some of the So Cal Evo guys have them I think, but any Evo shifter should fit the Lancer too. B&M is the same for both. So I guess you could ask the Evo owners which one they like better.
