are you aware yet of how long removal and install is? i want to bring my car there, but could they do it in a day? only $200 for install seems like it, i hope they do the tranny cooling for me too.

xtremeevo, your car is going to be the test car i assume? since he's never done a lancer before,where does reliability lay, i have my down payment to you already, but just want to make sure i don't run into unnecessary problems on the way home

 

It shouldnt be a problem. They have been doing this for years. If you want, call john up at levelten. Im sure he would be more than happy to answer any of your questions. And yeah, they can do the cooling thing too. Might as well bring the cooler in to them along with your car so they can install for free since their already working on that area of the car.

When you have this installed maybe it is time to look at a better Auto Tranny Fluid. I havent looked what type our tranny uses but if it has shifting agents we could get some without for crisper shifts and such. Also while they have the tranny out to install the TQ converter maybe you should ask them to change the filter (as this is normally NEVER done).

Again our tranny's (due to Mitsubishi's infinite wisdom :load of crap are never serviced prior to 100,000 miles. New fluid is needed no matter what when you drop the tranny so make sure you get good fluid, a clean filter and a cooler with this upgrade.

Your tranny life will increase loads and you will have a much better peice of mind for it.

I am truely jealous as this mod is on par with a turbo kit and you will all be truely satisfied.

 

not to mention we should be getting a significant increase in power on the car, thanks for the info guru, i never even thought about the filter

also, anyone not turbo charged, you too will love this upgrade, so i think even if your not turbo charged you should look into this, the price is right

p.s. do we go synthetic or standard transmission oil, im guessing standard

 

i'd like to take my car to levelten and have them do it... only problem is that i live on the other side of the country... who in the California region can put in the TC? are there any recomendations that i should knoe about?

any good transmission shop will be able to remove and install a torque converter the problem is finding a shop to rebuild the torque converter. i have only found 4 or so and they are all east coast or midwest.
