I am going to be compiling data over the next 2 weeks and want a place to park it and share so here it is:

Model F4A42

F4A42
1st Gear Ratio 2.842
2nd Gear Ratio 1.529
3rd Gear Ratio 1.000
4th Gear Ratio 0.712

Two new articles added. They explain how to get codes from the tranny without a scanner. These are for other models but they should work the same on our tranny.

Smile Problem on mitsubishi lancer 1997 (4g92) (f4a42)

There is an electrical problem in this transmission, it does not "ride", when I remove the relay up to the tcm in the radio console, it only gear the "R", can some one tell me the fuses responsible for the transmission?

It is a mitsubishi lancer 1997 with engine 4g92 and transmission f4a42, the fuses boxes are in the illustration, please! some one help me please, I will really appreciate this.

I must know how many relay does this model has for the trannie? what are the fuses? is there any illustration for this?

PLEASE, HELP ON Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 4 IV CN9A

Can some one confirm if this diagram is for lancer 1997 automatic? what fuses and relays to check? as I could surely find only one relay up to tcm and this relay once is removed from socket the transmission "gear" the "R" only .... when I try to shift any gear it just "stall" it tries to gear, but does not gear! what can be this stuff?
