help with clutch install question

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/me...cture-041.html im puttin in a clutch in a 03 ES and i wanted to know how you take out the cup the the axle shaft goes into on the transmission side. does it pry out or does it come out when you seperate the tranny from the engine. see if you can make out the pic... also i wanted to know how to bleed the clutch? do i loosen the nipple on it and pump the clutch like im doin brakes? i got royal purple syncromesh tranny fluid. is that the right stuff. i used amsoil last time but heard royal purple is better. one more question what kinda brake/clutch fluid do i use?

Wtf happened to your axle?
You should be able to pry it out. Get a pry bar between the trans housing and "what's left of your axle" and it will pop right out.

To bleed the clutch... you are right, you bleed it as you would bleed your brakes.
Fluid? I like the Ford stuff. If you track your car very hard, go with DOT 4 fluid. If it's a daily driver, stick to DOT 3.

Trans Fluid... find my trans fluid thread(sticky at the top) and read the bottle in my pictures. I'm too lazy to do it this morning.

Yea, dude. You just separated the CV on your axle. Are you going to buy a new axle or just pack it with grease and hope for the best?

Ha, he must have tried pulling on the shaft to get the axle out. At this point you might as well leave it, you should be able to pull the trans with the inner joint still attached. Then with the trans out and on the floor you get pry it out. Better start checking parts stores for a new axle! That one's not going back together.
