Ok, heres the deal. Does anyone elses automatic transmission have a very abrupt and noticable downshift when coasting to a stop? my car does this, but only when the car is cold, once its driven around a for a bit it doesnt do it.

The tranny seems slightly hesitant while warm as well, but this might just be in my head. I can be a hypochondriac when it comes to car problems. It also might be because my plugs have 31,000 miles on them...

Most of my autos have shifted kinda hard when slowing down, i can see why it feels like it does it more in the cold becuase...its cold. You may have also noticed it might shift hard into second after a stop. its normal. If you want it to stop id warm the car up b4 i drove it. I warm it up now cuz i dont like that hard shift.
