Angry What have they done to my car?

I just got back from the inpound. I got my car towed away and had to go get it back. Final cost? Don't know yet. 92$ for the inpound + I don't know how much to fix the tranny they screwed up.

Can somebody help me figure out what they did to my car.

The car was parked, wheels turned all the way pointing toward the right, with a club bar on the wheel. Tranny was in neutral, and handbrake was engaged. They say they put the car on some sort of dolley

When I got back in my car, started driving then

When I engage my gears, it feels like I'm pushing something else at the same time. It kinda feels like I'm pushing some sort of spring, or feels more like some sort of mattress. Anyway, it feels like I pushing something at the same time.

It is more noticeable in First, Third and Fifth gear. It is noticeable on the other 2 gears, but less.

Somebody has a clue of what they did to my car?

I'd take it to a trans shop to find out exactly what's up. It may be something little, it may be something serious. And I know they say they're not liable for damage and loss of property, but a lawyer will tell you otherwise.

just take a quick look under the hood inbetween the engine and the battery and see if anything is touching the shifter levers. if thats not it then bring it to a shop

Yep. Sued in small claims court when I got my car dragged out of a parking spot about 30 feet by a tow truck driver. A Carl's Jr. receipt and 2 hours of waiting for the cops to come, resulted in the driver being forced to drop my car. I then took pictures of the rubber marks on the ground, and the bald spots on my tires. Sued for new tires and brakes and won. Take it to a tranny shop, if he says that it was most likely caused by the tow company ask him how much for his testimony in court, and a written estimate and then sue in small claims where the tow company cannot have a lawyer present. You can sue for the amount on the estimate, as well as any fees you paid to the mechanic to testify as well as any cost of rental cars necessary. Good luck.

You drive an automatic or a manual? I had to have an abandoned van towed at work, and the tow truck guy popped the hood, reached in, the placed the (auto) trans in neutral by popping the shifter cable off. Actually, I think he ripped it off, but same thing. They might have bent or jammed something if they had to place the car in neutral.

The car was already in Neutral, and I drive a manual. Now the problem comes and goes. 1 day it will do it, and the next it won't. If I raise the car to work under, the problem will go away for a day or 2.
