2012 lancer ES trans in 2008 GTS
i had no response but took a chance just like i did on the engine. here are my findings
the transmission is manufactured by Jatco and is a model JF011E cvt. the transmission is identical to the 2008 but after installing and firing up the car it will give you a check engine light and a service required for the transmission having an error. this will also put the car into limp mode. if you scan the computer you will see you have an error code P0845.
the P0845 code is due to a "primary pressure switch" failure. upon inspection of the transmission valve body, the reason for this error is because the 2012 and up Jatco transmission does not use a primary pressure switch. the valve body is identical but the hole is not finished where this sensor would go.
to fix this issue, you either need to purchase a remanufactured valve body from ebay for around 150 or pull it from your old transmission.
THERE IS A WARNING TO THIS
you will need to take the transmission wiring from your old transmission as the 2012 will not have enough wires to make the primary pressure switch work.
i swapped the wiring harness and pulled my old valve body out, put it in the new transmission that had 90 miles from the junkyard and all codes were cleared out and everything is running smoothly.
hope this helps anyone else with this issue.
the 2008 valve body and transmission from what i now know is interchangeable from 2008-2011
you will have the issues above when putting in a 2012 and up transmission in the older car.

Hi, I have the same problem but it had the same code but for sensor A and B and another one but I don't remember. The thing is, I put the valve body on it and all the codes disappeared except P0845 sensor B. Any recommendations?
