At absolutely most is 300 smackers if they provide the clutch. If you provide the clutch, it should be under 200 bucks.

As for length, it depends on the shop being busy or not.

I don't think they should . . . a tranny shop should finish it at most 4 hrs (have to be really slow since they have all the equiptment).

Of course, with your TC, you better insist that they finish it. I wouldn't pass the notion that one of their yahoo might take it for a spin. Ask for time span and bring it early in the morning. Take notes on overall mileage and condition of the car.

Considering we have the same block, we probably have the same tranny too. We're more or less running overbored 4g93's so I don't know why Mitsubishi would create a new transmission when they could use an existing one. ...especially considering we're all aware of how many recycled parts are in our cars.

Gentleman... Stupid question....

If we had access to a lift and air tools... How hard is this to do? Might seem like a very stupid question. However, in my CRX, replacing my pressure plate and my slave cylinder was nothing. However, that was on a 91 Honda... 2002 Mitsubishi .. Just wondering guys.. Don't beat me up to bad...

Me and a friend who works at a shop replaced the entire transmission in an old pickup in about 8 or 9 hours... it is a real hassle to get in there, I would pay to have it done.

Pressure plate was the same but the clutch plate was slightly different. Essentially, we have the same tranny as the Mirage save for a slightly lower final drive ratio to compensate for the extra weight.

There is a difference in dropping the tranny and replacing a clutch. A clutch is much easier, and cost will be cheaper if you have the parts already.
