Pinched Vaccum Hose
Pinched Vaccum Hose
I have had the RRM hoses on for awhile and I popped my hood open and it seems that the vaccum hose that is by the throttle body(The short thick hose) seems to pinch shut in the middle. The hose before was shaped to fit that spot but the RRM hose seems to be to flemzy(sp?) that it likes to pinch at the arch. Anyone have any suggestions on this. Want to fix this becuase it isn't getting good airflow. From the looks of it everyone that has these hoses seems to be pinched there too from their pics.
if the hose youre talking about is the one i'm thinking about, you can just take it out and get a breather filter, but make sure you plug the end of the hose thats on (by?) the throttle body.
youre talking about the hose that comes out of the valve cover and goes to the tb, right?

Mine's like that too and so is nyclancer's. I don't see it being an issue really. Either cut a longer section, put a guide/sleeve around it to keep it from pinching or just leave it. It shouldn't change anything as far as the car's operation.

I had the same problem, so I was running with the stock hose for a while, one day I decided to change colors on my hoses and when I got the new hose kit, I made sure to cut that particular hose long enough so it wouldn't pinch and it worked out good.
I suggest you get a longer piece for it and it should work just fine!

I am having the same problem, with the hose pinching. for some reason some of the hoses that are coming from RRM in the hose kit just aren't long enough (the hose to go from my radiator to the radiator overflow was also cut to short). When I called RRM to ask what the deal was who ever I spoke to said, "oh that shouldn't be the case I cut those myself. I can check to see if i am using the right size, thanks for calling." So that is my two cents. I would very much like it if RRM would send a new section of this hose to everyone who has bought this kit, since they didn't supply us with enough hose in the first place, and at $26 a pop ( for just a few hoses mind you) I would think we would be given plenty and then some.

i feel like a horses patute...
