Dim lights

Dim lights
So I start my car up turn on my lights because of the rain and the gauge cluster, and the ac controllers are all very very very dim. I could hardly see how fast I was going. What is causing this?
and I was mostly being sarcastic when I said that, good times, glad it wasn't any real problem
