When I warm up my car or even when my car is on there is a loud "CLICK" noise coming from the engine.

I think it happens when the fan belt starts to turn

if this is normal is it supose to be that loud
Sounds like your AC turning on.

So your saying when I am warming up my car and the AC is off, the AC automatically turns back on by itself?

That's scary thought, sounds like my car is possessed.

I am not the one who ran over a cat or hiding a dead body in the trunk if my car

I cracked this whole problem. The thumping noise can't be backfire because you said it's bone stock. There's a good chance that it may be the gas in the car, you might hear it make a "dunk" sound. I wouldn't worry about it.
The clicking noise is typical. Keep your defroster off until the engine is warmed up. When your engine is sitting with the defroster on, the engine is trying to suck in air without any help from motion. I'm guessing that your idle is dropping a ittle low as well when you hear the clicking sound, right?
So just keep the defroster and air off until your car is warmed up enough. I'd say give it 3 minutes, then blast the air away.

I thought it might be the gas when the mitsubishi shuttle man was talking to me and asking me what kinda gas i used. Ill try using a better one now that gas isnt all that bad of a price, $1.29 for reg. Oh well, im not worrying about it anymore now that they looked at it and didnt find any strange gasses.

Thanks. Karlen

Really? How does the power steering pump click? I swear it sounds like valves, but if is just the belt, I'll be happy!
