Leaning Lancer

Since the day i bought my car, it has been leaning slightly (just barely enough to notice) to the left. I went to the dealer and they changed the front left strut which did not fix the problem. I went back and they said they didnt know what the problem was (not to mention i dont really trust them with my car and i dont like leaving it there). Now that my car has been lowered, the leaning is a lot more visible and its driving me nuts!

Does anyone have experience with this problem?

I think I've noticed the same thing to my car....well at least I think so. I mean, sometimes when I'm parked at work, it looks like its leaning to the left, but then when I'm parked at home, I'm like the hell?.....and it looks fine. But I dunno, I think mine does lean a bit. I figured it was leaning left because I was a big guy. So I was like damn, am I really that heavy?!?!.....LOL

But seriously, if anyone can help, this is something that is bothering me though, so you could help both of us out.

I noticed that when i lowered mine.. I have to have the steering wheel turned to the right slightly so it goes straight. I figured my alignment was off or somethin.

mine did that too, to fix it i bought the ingalls camber kit, and took it to pepboys where they actually do a great job aligning cars. just make sure you tell them to adjust the camber too, since you'll now have camber adjustment. btw: mine pulled and looked like it was leaning to the right. idk, these cars are beautiful to look at but a nightmare to care for.

this thread is not about alignment or camber. We are talking about lancers that came from the factory with or developed a body lean. Lets stay on subject here.

so does any body here fixed this leaing problem yet, cause i just lowered mine and i notice it's leaning to the left. i measured the wheel space and the left is about 1/2 inch lower than the right, i put a rubber spacer in and still leans. took it to get aligned and everything is straight. ?!?!?!confused

Just a thought...do you all that lean to the left take alot of right-hand turns as fast as I do? Any way that the struts have worn more quickly because of it???

Ride height is dictated by the springs... I recently had a wheel alignment done by a very good and well known shop and the leaning has gotten worse. My next step is to get the rear springs swapped (left to right and vice versa) and see if the leaning switches to the right. I was also driving behind a stock lancer es (02-03) yesterday and noticed that is was also leaning to the left... interesting. i will keep you posted.
