fuse panel

I am a rookie when it comes to dealing with cars, but I need to cut the power to my stereo because it is frozen. I opened this in another thread, but it probably didn't belong there.

I was told if I remove the fuse for the stereo it would lose power. If this is true, where is the fuse panel in my 2002 lancer?

there are 2, one is under the drivers-side dash, the other is under the hood, on the drivers side as well, directly behind the battery
