Exclamation electrocuted

does anyone here have the same problem? everytime i get out of my car, i get grounded when i touch the door! can anyone help me out with this?? it is becoming so annoying!

hahahah! touch the glass and keep your hand on it (or anything metal) when you get off your car, and leave it on the glass until u get urself out of the car.

I have the same prob. and everyone who gets outta my car too, it is annoying as hell

i wish i could touch the glass part only when i get out.....
but it happens when i least expect it. like when im in a hurry because im running late or something then BOOM i get the shock!

ah yea, the SHOCK ! I usually try to touch the door frame or something before I get out, but yea I do forget sometimes, and in the morning, it wakes me up It's always fun to see other people getting out of your car and getting a lil` shock heh

My friends evo does that too...annoying when I ride with him...luck I have the leather recaros cuz I don't have that problem

Holy crap, do a search on the subject. There have been at least 10 threads about this.

Touch metal and keep your hand on it while you get out...the inside b-pillar or such works well...no more shock.

I used to have that issue, but got a grounding kit and haven't had any issues since.
And here I thought this thread was gonna be about someone zapped by the battery....

You'll find so many people with the same problem with their Lancer, no matter the model. But the funny thing is...is that I had this very problem with the last couple cars I've owned. My Lancer has a gounding kit...that didn't help. I think it has to do with the aftermarket sound systems I put into my vehicles. They have all had some sort of stereo upgrade; just maybe there's something I'm not doing right in that department.
