just recently after my warranty ran out, and i got the last recall for the catalytic converter fixed i discovered that my horn doesnt work. it's not the fuse because when i lock my doors the horn beeps but it doesnt work when i use the steering wheel. if anybody could help please do post.

 

make sure the connections in the diagram...

 

AHH HAAA!! I KNEW I WASNT THE ONLY ONE!! luckily for me it happened just before my warrenty ran out. The mitsu tech guy at the dealer told me that they didnt do such a hot job on the design. If you whack it too hard too many times it gets stuck inside and you have to replace the entire airbag assembly. Id say they were trying to rip me off saying the whole deal has to be replaced but they told me its totaly covered under my warrenty and are covering all the costs. Something about the way the contact plates are set inside your steering wheel doesnt hold up. If the fuse is still good and the horn itself checks out id say thats your problem.

 

have get you an air horn.

I've had this problem but I never got it replaced.

 

I've got a different problem. My horn used to go off once or twice when I locked or unlocked my car, but the horn doesn't go off anymore. But my horn works. Anyone know how to fix this?

 

the horn only goes off when it "sees" that all the doors are closed. You can still lock it with a door open but it wont beep. Check your door sensors and see if one is maybe stuck or bad.

 

the same thing happened to me but sadly my horn would work and sometimes get stuck.... so after awhile it would randomly come on and not turn off so i cut it and havent fixed it yet

 

Where those sensors located?
