Unhappy lancer running loudly

ive got an 03 lancer es auto and when its in park or stopped the car sounds way too loud. its almost like a humming that seems to come from the engine. i cant really pin point exactly where its from or the cause. doesnt seem to affect performance of the car. lastnight when i stopped i noticed i heard a light repetitive clunking almost as well on top of the humming. it mainly only did it while in drive but that one is new. anyone know what this may possibly be? id appreciate any input. i had taken it to two places before when i just heard the humming, and even though it wasnt quite as bad then, they just said it was nothing. but lancers dont run that loudly so something is definitely hitting.

from what your describing i would say that its just the normal clicking sound from the engine. I know the engine makes a lot more noise when the oil is dirty so maybe you should change it if it is...

It may be either the lifters or the injectors. Both are common noises. If you still have the warranty, you can always take it in to the service department and have them listen to it.
