if i take off my aftermarket muffler?

Alright heres the deal

I have a magnaflow cat-back exhaust installed on my lancer. But i dont think its really all that loud, so i wanted to take off the muffler and sell it eventually and just leave a strait pipe on from where the 2nd cat ends i believe.

Would this do any of the following?

A.) make my car loose power or
B.) make my car sound really really ****ty?

Thanks for the help guys

peace

Your car would sound like it has an exhaust leak with no muffler.
As far as loss of power, that could happen if you lose too much back pressure as a result of having no muffler.

Well, sawing it off will make it harder to just put back on... Does the catback not have an axleback section that you can unbolt as opposed to doing the surgery you mentioned?

well it does have the unbolt thing, and i un-bolted everythin, only the muffler is really stuck on, maybe if i spray on WD-40 on that bad boy it will lube it up nice and come rihgt off?
