when i start my engine every morning......i noticed that when its in idle the first thing after start up...a strange sound comes from the belts of the engine..i know this cuz i hear it straight where the belts r when i open up my hood....thats where the weird noises come from...neone know wat this is??..its like..not a squeaking noise...but like an annoying "ching ching ching......" sound as the belts go around the pulleys....and then when i drive off...everytime it switches gears and i press on the gas...it makes that noise from the belts....(the sound is more when its raining or wet outside)...neone know wat the hell this is??? please explain.....

 

For a ching, ching, ching noise I'd have to guess something is loose. Like the tensioner is bad or going bad and it is rattling.
How is the tension on the belt, and can you shake any of the pulleys, like the tensioner or idler pulley?
