one fan should run most of the time while the other fan kicks on when the a/c is turned on. what kind of mods do you have? and how do you know its getting "freaking hott" other then by feel? you happen to have any gauges?

Also, there was a recall I think having to do with the fans, but I haven't ever had that done. Is it possible that the two are connected?? I have checked and when the A/C is "on" both fans are on, but the clutch on the Compressor is not engaged. Is that controller monted to the fan a part of the A/C system? Any Help, suggestions would be great, ITS FREAKING HOT!!!
same prob my sisters lancer has, its not the fan controller becuz i took of mine (ac works great) and put it on hers and it was still not working right

What I ment by its getting "freaking hott" is me driving around with no A/C its hot here in texas!

The fans work as they are intended to orginally. The car is bone stock.... When the A/C is turned on the A/C fan kicks in every time, but the clutch on the compressor does not engage. I drove to work this morning and the outside temperature was in the mid 80's and my A/C on my car was putting out cold 60 deg (estimate) air. But this afternoon when I go home it will be 95 deg + outside and my A/C will work for about 5 to 10 min then shut off......... I have no idea why, all systems seem to work right, the car is not over heating, the both fans run.........
