possible fuel cut?? opinions needed about this problem

hey guys...well my car is at it again. having some kind of bad day or something.

when accelerating at or about WOT in 2nd gear the car pull nice and hard until about 4,700-5,000 rpm. then it feels like i'm hitting my rev limiter or i'm getting too much fuel pressure. sorta like a machine gun sound (quieter of course) with some shaking. sometimes it does it and sometimes it does not. or sometimes it will do it for a second then continue up to 6,000 rpm just fine. (it happens in 3rd gear too but by then i'm going pretty fast and don't want to try it in 4th)

(just so you know...if you slowly go up in RPM's giving only a small amount of throttle the fuel pressure builds and makes the car have the same noise and effect. but this is supposed to happen because the car is getting so much fuel and not enough air or something like that)

i'm guessing for some reason my car is hitting fuel cut. buuut i havn't done anything to my car. its been running fine for a few months and all of a sudden (yesterday) it started doing this. the fuel pressure is the same and my AFC setting are the same. i didn't touch anything.

i don't really know why its doing this. any opinions??

detonation... clean your plugs and check your compression out to ensure everything is ok... this is exactly what i had happen at higher boost levels... it's a timing issue which ecu doesn't correct unless reflashed to compensate. If your on stock pistons don't do this anymore. Try turning down boost and retesting. It should go away then if i'm right. This happened to me around 8-9psi. Let me know!

Also, just as a precaution, you might want to change your fuel filter. with the increase of demanded fuel, a clogged filter may be bottlenecking the system. but from the "sound" of things (horrible pun intended), i would agree with boe and say that it's detonation.
